soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I love apples, but can't handle too much carb without upping the tablets( which I'm reluctant to do) So I have just had my first "funsized" apple. 85 g with core. I probably ate about 60g, which amounts to roughly 7 carbs. Just right! Now why didn't i think of it sooner. those little children's lunch box apples are a good price too. this one was a Gala. A particularly delicious ariety. I have the last few of my own garden Ellison's Orange, about the same size.

I love them too and they just finish a meal off, don't they? Or good to eat when you're hungry and don't fancy a meal.

I bake them in the oven for about 40 minutes stuffing the core with dates! Then drizzle with cream.....Heaven!!

hiya,

split one in half, take out core and place thickly sliced cheese over the top of each half. toast under the grill until cheese melted. Delicious.

Caitycakes x

My son used to love cheese and apple mush when he was a baby (Heinz version tho )

Apples with cheese is an old traditional dish. Nice to re-discover it!Makes a breakfast too.

'stuffing the core with dates! '

with caution, some dates are 66% carb with a GI of 103 so very good for hypos.
Raisins marginally better, about same carb GI 60
safer with apricots 36% carb GI 30

I love fruit, and I know I shouldn't overdo it but sometimes I have 2 pears at one sitting. I always have a small amount of cheese with it though. Today it was cantal with an apple and a small amount of grapes.
