Many of you know already tesco is helping diabetes uk fundraise. I checked a while back about volunteering but my local tesco wasn't listed. Had an e mail today saying they have added new stores one of which my local tescos in haverfordwest. So have volunteered me, my wife and 9 year old boy a shift on the sat am, and me and boy a shift on sun am. Not my wife on sunday as shes already working there then lol.
If you happen to be in haverfordwest on the 4th/5th october pop along and donate

There is a jdrf walk to cure diabetes going on up here next month. Only reason I'm not doing it is because you have to commit to raise £100 each. That's an awful lot for just walking 5k.... Which everyone knows I do daily with my dog lol
My hubby entered for London marathon for diabetes and has to commit to raise £2000(ish)!! He can and completed it last year for SANDS another cause close to us. I'm the diabetic so hope he gets place this year but It's an awful lot to have to raise to run for a cause you support! Let the fundraising begin!
Exactly! I could get the £100 myself, but my friends wanted to walk it with me. That meant we suddenly had to get £700. Not really possible for something not exactly strenuous, plus we have the same friends etc so we'd be asking the same people for money. Oh well!
