Without a sense of humor and ongoing support like the one below, I don't think I would survive the first weeks after diagnosis.

One of my friends, when he learned I got diabetes, sent me me the Blood Sugar Sex Magik album of Red Hot ChiIi Peppers - it kept my spirit up
do you maybe have other examples of something funny that happened to you because of diabetes?
 
FANTASTIC choice, Blood Sugar Sex Magic and Stadium Arcadium are my favourite Chili Peppers albums - and RHCP are my favourite band! Huge fan

Funniest thing off the top of my head was in sixth form a few years ago. I wasn't feeling well and just sort of signalled to my maths tutor that I was gonna go chill out somewhere quiet. She said 'Are you alright Beth?' and I replied, 'Yeah, I've just been high a lot lately', in reference to my sugar levels of course.

I'd come from a different school, so not many people knew me well, and didn't know I had diabetes. There was silence and shocked faces throughout the classroom until I burst out in laughter and explained that I was diabetic - not smoking weed!

Diabetic lingo can really drop us in it sometimes haha!
 
HAHAHA I can imagine everybody's face with you being so open about weed - diabetes can make you a true rebel
