It saw the new hospital diabetics specialist as old one had left. Said I was to old to be late onset (was 32 when diagnosed). I did a test which showed I had a lot of insulin in my system so just assumed it was type 2 instead. Got me to cut my levimere down and my sugars suddenly went out of control (a lot worse than usual) had the GAD test to rule out type 1 but looks like she was wrong
Hey. Well I have had a hard time getting my results confirmed by the specialist. She said as there is a lot of inculin in my body from when I did a previous blood test, then this gad test just says I'm more likely of producing type 1 at a later date. So she said I am still type 2. So confused
if you have a lot of Insulin, but also have a high GAD score, surely that means type 1, but still well within the honeymoon period. obviously i'm not a doctor and cannot advise, but surely it must be the early stages of LADA.

That's what I would have thought. Couldn't it be my body is becoming inculin resistant? I was diagnosed T1 years ago and it's only this specialist that thinks I'm a misdiagnosed type 2. So frustrating!
