The docs thinking drugs cure all
I have been dx for them awaiting letter either to say camera or surgery.

I’m low carbing not Keto as I think the fat would cause problems.

I still avoid bread, pasta, rice, etc in all forms.

my question is has anyone done it before surgery and what of after?

I had gallstones a few years before diabetes diagnosis, had to avoid fat then as it set off symptoms seriously. Will probably depend on extent of your gallstones, whether lots of small ones or a big one. Unfortunately I increased carbs so I could eat enough and now I'm diabetic It is likely a tricky balance, Hopefully your scans will inform you and your health professionals best way forward.

I eat more fat post gall bladder removal then before. I did just gradually increase the fat content. I do eat quite a bit of fat.

As with @Antje77 once I had the gallbladder removed I could eat fat with no problems. Good luck with your investigations.

When my gall bladder was removed, many years ago, I didn't know that problems were caused by fat - and nobody mentioned it even then. So I just carried on but since starting lchf a couple of years ago, I have found the fats a bit too much, leading to nausea quite often. Still like loads of butter though and seem to get away with it most of the time.
