Hello again y'all,
Quick question........on 4 occasions over the last two weeks I have had debilitating pain in the upper right quad of my stomach, radiating to centre and up my back. Significant enough to induce vomiting and resistant to all pain meds. I suspect this is gallstones......is it worth seeing the doc? My daughter had 3 yrs of this and was constantly fobbed off until an emergency visit to A+E resulted in her gall bladder removal. Is this something common in diabetics? I know the gallbladder sits next to the pancreas and stones can sometimes get stuck in there. Everyone is telling me to cut out fats and meat proteins but as I am doin LCHF it doesnt leave much for me to actually eat
Any advice VERY much appreciated x

If you are vomiting, go to the A&E it could be anything and needs sorting out, but you knew this and have been putting it off

You really need to see your Doctor about this. I too have had my gallbladder removed as a result of gall stobes and know how painful they are. Unfortunately he wil suggest a removal of fatty foods from your diet.

I did debate going last night, but my daughters experiences of being fobbed off put me off somewhat. From what I can fathom, its a biliary colic attack and only becomes an 'emergency' if the stone is lodged causing blockages either in the gall bladder or the pancreas. I feel fine today but as it has happened 4 times in recent days then it is clearly not just going to go away. Incidentally, yesterdays attack came on an empty stomach ( I had however had a fair old bit of alcohol on Saturday night.... )
