Gastroparesis?

Hi, new member and first post just looking for an opinion.

Is it possible for a 31 year old type 1 diabetic to develop gastroparesis? My symptoms seem to match this but where I've got a 7 month old my GP just thinks it's my body is settling down from having a baby.

In my gut (litterally) I know this is not the case and now I've come across this condition I'm convinced there's something going on.

Thanks to any one who may have some insight.

Sarah

Here is an American article in their national archive

I am T2D and we seem to be less likely to be affected than T1D. I note you have posted in the T1D subsorum, but your status does not show which condition you are affected by. Poor glucose control can make the condition worse apparently.

Gastroparesis is not exclusive to only people with diabetes. Anyone can develop it. We just notice the effects of it more easily in trying to observe insulin going to work versus when carbs start peaking blood sugar.
