General Guidance on Insulin Resistance vs Blood Glucose

I like to think of DAFNE/carb counting as a handy starting point, which I can ignore or enhance at will
 
I'm having an insulin resistant day today. It is linked to a couple of days of heavy weights sessions - my muscles are a little sore and I believe it's a bit like SIRS, but not as severe. Usually lasts 36 hours, and unfortunately isn't directly obvious how resistant I am when it starts. It can require anything from 2x to 4x the amount of insulin.
 
@tim2000s if the higher bg levels dont even out over the next day or so, then it will be time to adjust the basals again unfortunately and probably adjust them up or down as time passes according to bg levels. One of the PITA things that comes with pumping.
