The book of words says you can get sensor and transmitter wet in bath, shower and even go swimming. I don't feel comfortable with this as fixing not secure and the kit is so expensive to see it float to the bottom of the pool!! I've tried tegaderm but just came off in water now trying opsite with more success. Any advice from dexcom users please
Jo
I use the G4 so this may not be the same. Sometimes if there is a bit of water between the transmitter and sensor I don't get readings for a while.
If your transmitter is snapped in properly then it should be okay.
You could try wiping the skin under the tegaderm or opsite with some skintac or body glue first as that should stop the sensor coming off. Another option is to insert sensor in arm and use a length of theraband and wrap around arm to form a band. Theraband is stretchy and waterproof and can be cut with scissors fairly easy.
