Hi I have been type 2 for nearly 2 years now not on any medication& my diabetic nurse only sees me once a year to check my feet, weight & blood pressure. I have been told I don't need a monitor which I thought was unusual I mean Ho am I supposed to know what's happening with my sugar levels? Any way about 3 weeks ago I got pins & needles in my hand then it went to both my feet then my other hand thought it was just the way I had been sitting but this is now happening on a daily biases so what do I do do I go see the diabetic nurse or my GP I only see her once a year as well also my fingers have all swollen it's that bad I had to get all my rings cut off am I worrying about nothing or should I be worried.

I think I'd go see my GP, if it were me. It may be nothing to do with diabetes at all, but the best thing would be for a doctor to take a look.

Need? Well, maybe not according to the NHS. (I would tend to disagree).

Find extremely useful in managing your blood sugar and working out what works for you? I think the majority of T2s who post on the forum would probably agree.
