Ginkgo - herbal therapy

Just read Simon Singh's 'investigation' into alternative medicines (forgot exact book name sorry) and noticed that the herb Gingko was particularly highlighted as effective in improving blood flow through the legs for those with circulatory problems.

Just wondering if anyones tried the stuff? It was very costly at Holland and Barrett. Haven't tried it myself.
