I have been on a drug regime of x2 Met 750 SR and x2 Glic 80 per day, taken morning and evening. Just had a telephone drug review the other day with a triage nurse (no blood test HBa etc) and my doze for Glic has gone to x2 Glic 80 twice a day when I picked my drugs up from the Chemists this morning. What is worrying me is the amount of Glic I am being asked to take, I think its a typo. My question is, is 320m of Glic a day a desirable level :?:

Is your blood sugar OK when you take the 160mg per day? If so, I'd imagine it was a typo, either way, check with the nurse on Monday. Two days of slightly high blood sugars won't do much damage I would think, but taking too much gliclazide could cause hypos.
Read the info leaflet for the tablets, it should say on there what the maximum dose is.

I am on 320 of Glic a day, ie 2 x 80mg tablets at breakfast and 2 x 80mg at evening meal. This is the maximum dose.
I would check with your DN tomorrow incase it was a typo though.
