I have been on Glipizide for a number of years. I have just received a letter from my Doctors to say it is no longer available. Has anyone else been informed of this and if so, do they know why?
 
I stopped taking it on the 1st of August, I was taking 4 a day. Although I have stopped taking all my medications I still have a prescription for them and I have not been informed it is no longer available.
 
Ignore my reply I have a prescription for Gliclazide not Glipizide. Sorry

I have been to see the Diabetic Nurse today, it seems the NHS is struggling to get supplies of Glipizide. I had my bloods done and have an appointment next week to discuss alternatives.
