just been to see my consultant and he has prescribed me GLP-1 RA. Have any other type 1’s been prescribed this?

It is prescribed for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It does promote additional insulin production in type 2 but the main benefits of type 1 are that it stops the pancreas from releasing Glucagon which stops the liver dumping sugar into the blood and slows down the release of food from the stomach. The results are that your appetite is suppressed so you eat less as you feel full. The amount of insulin needed by your body will also drop due to the Glucagon reduction. less food also means less insulin. both of these factors means weight loss.

From what I recall, it's not licensed for T1 use, but some consultants do give it off license where weight loss is required.

When I tried it (off label, imported) it reduced post-prandial spikes, but the nausea was grim.
