GLUCOMEN TEST STRIPS BEING RECALLED

That is so bad. They've known about it since last November apparently? Even on their facebook page they seem to have nothing to say about it. Very irresponsible.

I now wonder is that why the Glucomen LX Plus meter I got a few months ago was giving me readings of 3mmols difference to my old meter. I just couldn't trust it at all, ended up getting a different meter altogether and much happier with it. Def doesn't give confidence in a company if they are only recalling the strips now either.

Not sure if those are the ones I have or not, will have to check my stock, but I've had a few odd results in the last couple of weeks with these strips, like a LO reading i.e. <1.1 mmol/l which means I should have been on the floor, but with no symptoms.

Generally I have found quite a wide variance with these strips which does not aid in trying to achieve a tight control.
