Glucose toxicity

Hi

Have a look here

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/450151

My understanding is glucose toxicity is one of the key reasons T2 is a degenerative disease. I.e the high blood sugar from Diabetes is toxic to beta cells and will contribute to further decline in their ability to produce insulin making your diabetes worse resulting in more toxicity and so on.

I am no doctor etc.

Hi Again

Wanted to add that my earlier response was based on my current attempt to understand why T2 is degenerative, GT can also refer to the impact of high sugar levels on organs / nerves (or what we normally refer to as 'complications' )

HI . I'VE NO IDEA HOW TO USE THIS SITE,JUST WONDERD IF ANYONE COULD EXPLAIN PLEASE,FOR LAST FEW DAYS
I'VE BEEN EATING MR.KIPLING CAKES,OTHER BRANDS ARE AVAILABLE!!! I DON'T EVEN LIKE CAKES, ITS WEIERD I REALY
WANT SUGAR CHOCOLATE AND THE LIKE.ANY ADVICE PLEASE

from what I understand the body cannot deal with high levels of sugar when diabetic, but the body needs craves energy, so best to reduce carbohydrate's/sugars its a viscous circle .try a little bit more fat in your diet.
