I thought this was going to be a good website to read since it has received so many recommendations and mentions. How wrong was I? Soy is thyrotoxic, low carb products are not really (though not affecting my sugars), non steroidal pain killers (ibuprofen, paracetamol, aspirin etc) will destroy your kidneys as will naproxen and Splenda is actually full of carbs. What a bl**dy whack in the face, really got me upset. :evil:

Rant over, will not visit this site in the foreseeable future... :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:
 
There is a thread somewhere about Splenda and although it looks full of carbs,because you do not use as much it is not a bad as it seems.

Just checked on their website, 125g Splenda is the equivalent of 1.25kg of Sugar, so there's a 10:1 (Sugar:Splenda) ratio.

NSAID's will only destroy your kidneys if you regularly take over the max.dose of them.If you have to regularly take the max.dose of any painkiller and it is not controlling your pain then it is time to see your doctor for a review and revamp of your pain relief.
 
According to the study on this site it is a lifetime accumulative effect, so every tablet counts towards the dinal, a bit like lifetime dose of x rays. Apparently there only begins to be enough long term evidence recently due to these drugs being reasonably new. I don't take any painkillers unless I really need them but obviously I would rather not accumulate at all... Regardless, I feel like my positivity is bumped and it doesn't help that I'm also hormonal at the moment...

If its not 1 thing its the other, what a life its certainly sent to try us dont you agree

Oh that made me smile Julie! I know, all the pesticides, heavy metals, blaa blaa... I just thought that I am doing so well now and got so annoyed...

But hey, such is life...

Sorry that some things don't work out well for you but stick in here , tell people what's wrong and ask if they have any suggestions which might be an improvement. Hopefully you will get some responses to make you feel happy again
 
There's a lot of writing against Splenda on the web. I read some which was utter balderdash. claimed that the chlorine in it is poisonous. Written by an idiot. I can tell you that the chlorine atom in Splenda is secure and safe and cannot act independently. I'm sure I can find equally stupid things on many subjects if I try. You need to know how to evaluate what you read. And look at who funded it. There's no peer review 0f much of what appears on the web.It's freely available to nuts as it is to pornographers.
 
The main point Jenny is making is that throwing medications with potential side effects against an inappropriate diet is not as good a plan as eating an appropriate diet and not needing the meds.

Yeah she does tend to exaggerate but then so do the drug companies. The percentage of people suffering the side effects may be low - but on the other hand if you are one of them then that's 100% of *you* <G>
 
Well, the feeling has disappeared and back to myself... Joys of being a woman... :wink: It is all a matter of putting things in perspective and I think I will just leave that site to it's own company because I don't want to put myself out and get like raging bull again! :lol:

BTW, had chicken satay skewere, dry barbecue ribs for dinner (and a handful of chippy chips...), followed by low carb meringues, strawberries and cream with splenda foor pud and sugars were 5.5 1 hour after meal so chuffed again about that! :lol: :lol:
 
NSAIDs toxicity isn't cumulative in the sense of permanently cumulative (only when the drug is being actively used)....and neither is the effects of short term exposure to the type of electromagnetic radiation present in x-rays.
 
Perhaps I misinterpreted that article on the blog but to me it said exactly that. Not that I'm bothered, that ranting mood is gone now... Short term exposure isn't a factor as such but I work in an environment with x-rays and there is a (very small) risk of lifetime exposure accumulation.
