I have been a type2 patient for 3 years taking x2 500mg metformin and x2 80mg glicazide a day my HBA1C levels are way up to 10.2 so i have decided to start on insulin in the new year.

The consultant has said i will be taking 4 doses a day (x3 after meals and x1 over night slow release)

I have a complication because i have chronic pancreatitis which i have to take creon 40000 with every meal.

Im not a big person very slim and the experts think i had a virus which damaged my pancreas which initially gave me diabetes then 2 years after i was diagnosed as a type 2 my pancreas stopped secreting the enzymes.

The problem is im a bit worried about hypos and how i take the insuin the testing and when to test and what figures im looking for.

help would be nice.
