I can only empathise with you as I don't have any answers. I have type2 but have CKD stage 3 and just been put on insulin once a day at night. (My nephrologist put me on indapamide last year and my sugars skyrocketed, and haven't come down since despite stopping the indapamide at the end of last year. (And my kidney function has stayed low, 33). I cut out carbs, and my sugar levels stayed high. The one thing the endocrinologist said was that adrenaline and cortisol can raise sugar levels. I have been stressed at work, my body has been stressed cos of the indapamide, my father passed away 6 weeks ago, and I am concerned about adding more insulin to my body that already is insulin resistant...
Maybe your levels are still being affected by your heart ablation and fall? All the stress and pain that goes with that.
I hope your blood tests go/went OK.
