Nothing unusual happened yesterday and yet I woke up on the sette (had fallen asleep during the Brazil match!) feeling weird. Tested and down to 2.1 - glucojiuce swallowed in a oner and then the old hypo symptoms kicked in thick and fast. Dripping with sweat, barking at hubby, not being able to concentrate on anything around me and fidgeting like mad. It took another glucojiuce to bring me up to 5.4 before bed. BS at 10 by midnight but felt safer to leave them like that after the hypo. Woke up at 3am at 18.4 - argghhhh. Had to cancel a day/night away with hubby as I feel like a rag today and sooo tired. Other half said it may have been brought on by the excitement of watching Germany play football. You gotta laugh (a bit) or else you'd cry!! Back to feeling very wary of boluses today!!

Too true, the rebound from treating a severe hypo can be so annoying. Hope you have a better day today Riri.

Ive had a tiny bit of that too. You have to be careful when treating a low late evening that you dont overdo it and just wait for the first lot of hypo remedy to work. If you dont, you will find like me, that bg levels really soar simply because yr basal need for insulin might be low and theres no bolus also acting.

The pleasure of pumping.......live and learn lol

The temptation to go into panic mode is just too great at times. I also had 2 rich tea biscuits as well. Partly for the hypo but mainly because I was really hungry!! Even with BS of 18 there were no ketone which was a relief. I guess a temporary sugar high like is the reason for this. A prolonged high and/or is one infection seems to trigger them quite quickly in me, I have to be careful with ketones which I'm feeling exhausted as well - tiredness rally seems to produce ketones with me.

Hi sorry to hear of your recent highs and low's, I think most of us have been down that road a few times

I hope you're feeling much better now and enjoying the weekend at home Take care RRB
