Good result on last HbA1c

My 1st HbA1c in August came back as 48

My 2nd HbA1c in September came back as 50. This was when I was diagnosed as having Type 2 diabetes. Start me on 500gms of Metformin daily. I start cutting down on carbs and I have lost 11/2 stone in weight.


My 3rd HbA1c last week came back as 45

I'm happy with that, just got to be very very firm with myself over the Christmas period. Will be very hard not to get tempted to have chocolates and sweets.

Dr didn't say when it will be tested again knowing my Drs it will be in a years time.
 
Oh very well done Rosie, that is brilliant, and a wonderful Christmas present for you. Many congratulations!
 
well done - keep at it - try a few dark chocolate treats for over Xmas if you know you won't be able to resist the Roses' tin oetherwise.

I hope to continue to try and get it lower. The Dr didn't even say I had done well. I have a feeling I will not be tested for a year. As I had to ask for this last one.

that's good, that will keep you on the straight and narrow..buy some 85% chocolate for xmas, I find a line of that and I've had my choccy fix where a normal family block would be gone in an hour
