Hi Brandon it's totally understandable you trying to get sugar free to do the best for your child ,I was the same but you learn as you go on what's what and what you can and can't have .my daughters 9 and when she was diagnosed my dad brought her loads of fruit to the hospital as we didn't no and sent her bloods sky high.its a learning curve and sounds like your doing your very best x
Hi. This brings back memories of being unsure and buying sugar free stuff and non carb snacks. With time you'll become more experienced - promise! Set doses is the norm until you start carb counting. 2g carb is very little. To put it in perspective a fun size Milky Way is around 13g and a piece of bread 15g. I would let him have a normal one and say he can open and have it after breakfast.
