Just been up to the Drs, and got one over on him.
They changed my needles from Novo fine to GlucoRx, without any consultation, now my neighbour had warned me they are rubbish but wishing to be a nice person and not overburden the establishment I decided to give them a go what a mistake that was,
I found the dam thing would bend when I tried to insert them into tum or leg even the back of my arm, what a joke, I may be thick skinned but I am not an elephant with a hide like concrete.
Anyway I asked to talk to the practice manager or her secretary was told they had finished for the day, and my friend who is one of the receptionists asked what was wrong so in a full waiting room I went through my complaint about the needles, she herself had witnessed this the other night, lurking in the background was one of the senior partners who then came forward and tried to blame the whole fiasco on the Commissioning group, fool big time, what he forgot is that my daughter is the manager of a commissioning group and she told me that although the group may ask the drs to change to certain drugs/equipment, if the originals are approved by nice they cannot force a dr to change a patients drugs/equipment if the patient cannot get on with the substitute, so I quoted this to him and he backed down saying I'd better have my old needles back on script then.
Patient 1 Dr 0 red faced and looking stupid in front of other patients. job done.
