Got result confused

Hello. I got my results from my glucose test today and doctor said it has gone up from last year from 9+ to 10 only a tiny bit I know. What I'm confused about is I'm still pre-diabetic and by the results of others on here that is diabetic. She said to stick to a diabetic diet and have the test done in a years time. Also said I will invertible be a diabetic but now I can have a few treats.

I would like what others think please.
 
No because it was after a glucose test . Any test either glucose or rando ovrr 11 is classed as diabetic. A fasting test over 7 I think is considered diabetic and the it gets realy confusing as hba1c has 2 readings bot ofwhich dont rrealy corispond with standard mmol eg ibthink normal is 36 to 42 or very close to that I may have got exact numbers wrong but they are close then I think betwee that and either 48 or 56 is pre diabetic. And over diabetic obviously these figures are before starting which ever type of controll you use. Hba1c is also done in % over 6.5 diabetic im not sure od pre diabetic range . Hope this helps

Can you tell us more about the diet?

The diet Information I was given turned out to be useless in bringing down my BG levels, have a look round the forums and you will see most have restricted their carb intake to gain control.
 
I told her I was on a low carb diet and she said to keep on it. she wouldn't have said anything about a diet if I didn't mention it.
