Government two Ticks scheme does it include Type 2 Diabetes (non insulin)?

Hi
I have read the government two ticks web site, and it refers to illnesses that need non dependent drugs e.g. prescribed as you typically get with Type 2 Diabetes (non Insulin), if I apply for a job and it has the two ticks scheme can I use this to help me get an interview? Or are diabetics excluded from this scheme?

Any advice please

Thanks

Michael

According to the Pluss website, diabetes is covered http://www.pluss.org.uk/what-disability-1

I work for an employer who operates the two ticks scheme and we have had to interview people who were unsuitable for the job (they were not diabetics) because they met the minimum criteria.

On the other hand, If I were in a redeployment situation with my employer, I would tick the box for this, although I would get priority anyway.
