GPs spending 10% of their Medicine Budget on Diabetes

I accept that it is the pharmacy and not the individual that makes the claim/receives payment. Sadly, the scenario outlined in the link above bears no relationship to my experience with a couple of the pharmacies in my locality. If the reviews I have been subjected to (insisted upon by coercion & misrepresentation), if they bore any resemblance to that outlined in the link I might not think it was such an abysmal abuse of NHS funds.

Apologies from me too, Art of Flowers. I shall now shut up and go away.

I quite enjoyed my last review with pharmacist it gave me the opportunity to have a little rant. He politely listened showing due interest in my concerns , and as soon as he could free himself from this argumentative patient/client he probably put it out of mind. I don't care as I felt immensely better after wards for having had a captive audience who had to listen to me. After all he started the conversation not me.

I'm beginning to realise that I have some exceptional providers of health care, GP surgery and pharmacy. I might have only had one review in 28 years but it was a case of "Mr Jones, if you have 10 minutes may we review your prescriptions?" By that time I'd been thinking "Why not? Everyone else is having them, why not me?". On the other hand I know my pharmacist by name, I know where he's been on holiday, I know about his family, maybe the advantages of living in a backwater. There was one relief pharmacist who was a complete &*^^$*(&)(**&), I go elsewhere when he's around.

Good for your father in law! He will do better in old age with a higher cholesterol (and without the statin side effects).
