Hi all,
A weird thing happened yesterday and I want to let you know. No advice needed but want to know if anyone else has done anything similar.
In the 10 months I've been T1 my control has luckily been very good, although not just luck, I do look after myself and eat well and exercise. Yesterday however, I was in the garden with the kids and they were eating m&m's. I really fancied some (which is never me, I normally never fancy sweets and choccies) so I had 2. Then I had 2 more etc until I had eaten about 40 of them. Then I went on a complete mad one and ate loads of Haribo sweets and Moaom chewy sweets. Then in the evening I must have eaten 4 cookies and a pile of digestive biscuits. I knew it was stupid but it was like I had no control at all. It was almost as if I was possessed by a greedy kid in an eating competition...I checked my levels in the evening and I was at 13.4 which is mega high for me. This morning I was 7.8 which again is really high for me at that time of day. Then after breakfast and novorapid I was back to 11.3. Everything is back to normal now and I've had first hand experience of what eating bad does to your levels (even the next day) and can totally get why people that actually crave sweets and chocolate regularly struggle with levels.
I just wondered if anyone else has had a mad craving day?
