Well where do I start. I am not a new type 1 have been injecting since 1978. The reason to join here is to learn from others about how to get control again. My long term sugar HbA1C is up at 76 right now and I really am having trouble in lowering it. Still have recently re-married to a Clinical Nurse Specialist so I at least always get my results from the hospital very quickly. Live in Somerset. So who else out there is getting somewhat depressed at his or her long term sugar results. I am going to be so pleased to hear opinions from everybody so that I can get to work. I read on another post that lots of us are on Levimir now and beginning to split doses, for me it is 9 at night and 5 in the morning. What are others experiences of doing this Bye for now MB

I'm a new (3 months in) Type 2 so can't really help you, sorry. Just wanted to say hi and welcome from a fellow Somerset resident  . There'll be plenty of people along to help you, this is a very friendly and helpful forum.

Hi monkeybusiness and welcome to the forum I know you are not newly diagnosed but I wonder if this information might be useful to you in helping you stabilise your levels, in addition to adjusting your insulin. If you have any more questions please ask as someone will probably be able to help.
