over selling.... oh so many things are enthusiastically oversold
Having tasted the delights of purchased Stevia I thought I'd try to grow some. I bought seeds from Suttons seeds but couldnt get them to sprout despite being a reasonable gardener. Anyone had any success?

Seeds can be germinated in a folded over wet paper towel before being put in the growing medium.

If you didn't even get the seeds to open, then this process can help a lot. I'm not a gardener, but I've heard of this technique working for friends.

Yea maybe I should have gone with this method. I potted into seed compost as per directions on the packet. I was wondering if anyone had actually succeeded or if I had a bad packet of seed. ( everything else I've planted this year has been ok)
 
You could drop Sutton's a line, they might send you some more?
