Type 2 HA1BC has gone up

If I were you I would cut out the fruit. It will not help your fatty liver at all. It contains a lot of fructose, which goes straight to the liver (not the stomach like other foods) and is one of the major causes of fatty livers.

Really? That's interesting I didn't know that. It feels weird to cut out fruit completely though, are there any fruits which are better for fatty liver? Do you suggest I cut out the fruit and replace with veg? Why don't the medics ever tell you these things - it makes me so cross!

The best thing is to replace with extra green leafy veg, and maybe have a small fruit treat once a week or just on special occasions. I believe raspberries are the safest, but only in small portions. They all have fructose - but avocado is a fruit and they are fine.

Thanks for this piece of advice as I know of diabetics who eat lots of fruit believing that it's healthy. I have the added pressure of addressing my weight, BS levels and fatty liver so I know it's not going to be easy at all.

Cutting out fruit and replacing with avocado/veg will certainly help.

I may consider going back to cutting out breakfast a couple of days a week. I'm determined to get my numbers down for my next review.

I haven't had breakfast for the past 2 years.. I reckon it has helped a huge amount in reducing my insulin response by extending my overnight fast. Lunch sometimes and usually dinner has worked very well for me. I would also agree with @Bluetit1802 about cutting out the fruit entirely or at least replacing it with avocado. In fact I was typing almost the same when she posted.

As with SW it works on syn values will add avocado to my diet and just count the syn value. Please keep coming with the food advice, it will certainly help me in making my food choices.
