Isn't it great when you get that warm and cosy feeling of success

Very well done - enjoy it

Amazing! Very well done - I'm sure a lot of hard work was involved.

That's an outstanding effort in six months. How did you do it?

Maintaining it is a long run game. I myself was diagnosed three years ago at 67mmol/mol and got down to 44 in three months, and 40 the following three months. Since then mine's hovered between 40 and 44 until my last check up (which are now only annual because of my good results).

I was expecting bad news. The healthier eating had become a habit and I was taking things for granted - that because I hadn't reverted to the super carb binges of the past that all was well and I stopped testing rigorously. I had no clue where my numbers were at. Total shock to me to hear the nurse tell me over the phone (I couldn't wait for the appointment) my latest result was 39. Lowest ever! I actually rang back to make sure it was a 3-9 and not a 4-9!!

I have the annual appointment next week. It will be it interesting to see what the nurse has to say. My non-diabetic husband tested at 39 last year and they didn't diagnose or prescribe meds. I'm normal! Will they rescind my diagnosis?
