Halloween/Trick or Treat

Why dont English people understand what haloween is.
The Scots took it to America who twisted it a bit adding trick to it.

So why can't the country bordering Scotland get it.

Costumes - Scotland/America: Dress up as anything you like.

Costumes - England: Witch, Zombie, Ghost things along those lines

Treats - Scotland/America: sweets, fruit, nuts, toffee

Treats - England: crisps, money

Jack o lantern traditionally carved from swede
Pumkins ok these are easier to carve but unlike Americans does anybody in England make pie

Well Christians invented their own feasts and festivals to get rid of pagan ones

Because we need an excuse to dress up and have fun. We are British after all..
