Silly question but could different soap affect your BG numbers when testing?
 
As long as you rinse your hands thoroughly and dry them I doubt it very much.
 
Anti bacterial hand rubs, such as the ones used in hospitals do affect your readings, so I imagine the ones on sale will do too.

I was given a very expensive hand soap in a dispenser last year that had honey as an ingredient that gave me higher readings even after meticulous rinsing . I guess that indicates that the posh stuff manufacturers don't stint on their ingredients
