Hansel and Gretel

I watched this movie at the weekend (silly adventure escapism - a good bit of fun). Diabetes is often misrepresented in movies and tv shows but this one really takes the cake! It is so ridiculous I was torn between laughing and being annoyed. Spoiler alert...................Hansel developed an illness after being force fed so many sweets by the witch. The character he says this to replies "you have the sugar disease" !! He must inject at strictly set times or within seconds he comes over all funny and swoony! Also the needle is massive. He gives a mighty stab into his leg and must hit bone! His diabetes has no relevance to the storyline at all. I know the movie is meant as a mindless bit of fun but wonder what the point of the diabetes aspect was. I settled on finding it amusing and enjoyed the movie.
