The Mimosa is the official symbol of the International Women's Day.

Women's Day is commemorated annually on the 8th March to celebrate the achievements and contribution of women to society and to remind us that in many places women still suffer from discrimination and violence against them.

Happy Women's Day to all the women in my life, my wife, my mother ( ok even my mother in law ) as well as to all lady members of this forum!

I would like to add my DIL to the list, the kindest, caring, practical woman I know who is always there to lend an ear to anyone who needs it and who gave me the gift of a wonderful grandson with a little help from my son. The actually had twins but sadly their baby daughter died aged 14 days. She is one in a million.
