T1 is hard given that all of the T1s I know report yoyo-ing point in time BGLs and that can get you down. Your HBa1C is a worry though, as well as the sight trouble (especially so young). Have you asked your ophthalmologist about some ideas?I had an eye hemorrhage in June last year after not having good control of my sugars for a while. I ate the right foods but it was very relaxed control. My HB1AC for.years was in the 86-90 mark but I got it down to 71 and now its.creeped back to 75.
Whilst getting eye injections for the hemorrhage/ maculopathy my focus and.anciety has been sky high over my eyes and I noticed my visual snow got worse, I have weird cluster of colours in my "good eye" that wiener I. Have a hypo get really fuzzy but last few weeks I been experiencing trailing images, very slight and after images mainly on things with contrast , like.if I look at.a black clock one white wall an after images will flash beside it or a car headlight when it turns off will stay in my vision for a few seconds.
My friend read a few studies saying there is link between high blood sugar as the cause for palinopsia. I'm getting very down and depressed over this, cause I do mu insulin for my meals not everytime I get my bloods sorted.it last about two weeks before they start dropping or raising again.
I'm 26, type 1 and have been since I was 8.
In june this year , I saw a consultant at eye infirmary who said my eyes were dry and nothing was wrong. So hopefully this was last eye injection

Hi Kaylee,Hi Sam,
What course of eye jabs where prescribed? (The name of the drug.)
& how long after the procedures are these symptoms?
It does sound a lot like the second , very interesting, I will.havw to look more into thatAre you sure it is Palinopsia and not Physiological afterimages.
Palinopsia
positive images (the same colors as the original image)
images may appear immediately or following a time interval
images are long lasting or intense
Physiological afterimages
negative images (complementary colors of the original image)
images appear immediately
images are brief

I cannot emphasis the utility of a log enough. You should keep a food log and record BGLs pre and post that food. Also get a bit of exercise in - I am not suggesting ultra-marathon running (!), but your legs are the biggest muscle and an hour walk a day gets you out in the fresh air and feeling happier seeing trees and flowers and other people etc (it is a cliche but a true one), and also will make you dramatically more insulin-efficient and will over a few months to get your HBa1C down and reduce the risk of all effects of sugar in the blood (including eye damage). Record that exercise in the log too and you will see very interesting cause and effect scenarios.
