O.K, so I like doing research and I just stumbled upon this webpage http://shurie.com/lee/writing_defeat_diabetes.htm Has anyone else seen it and what are your thoughts? Surely this is not a good idea but he does sound very convincing...........

It makes a certain amount of sense to me, though I only did a quick scan. I certainly agree with what he had to say about low GI - it has minimal effect for me as I think I'm just really carb intolerant. Even low GI carbs seem to spike me fairly quickly.

I'm a great believer in finding what works for you - and whatever works, works - you can't really argue with success. I doubt if I'd have the kind of discipline that this guy has, but more power to him if he found a way that works for him.

Thank you. Yes I found this interesting. I have only seen one other article which advocates skipping breakfast. I sometimes skip breakfast, and have found that this helps with my blood sugar levels, but I have never carried this any further. I have wondered for years whether the advice to eat a hearty breakfast was good advice. I may try this when I am in a better frame of mind to cope with it. The time isn't right for me at the moment.
