Has anyone experienced reduced sugar levels after taking Balsamic vinegar before meals?
Or tried any other types of vinegar before meals that reduced the sugar levels .
Thanks

If I had to choose, I'd go with apple cider vinegar with mother as that is low in carbs. Balsamic vinegars usually are sweetened and will have an undesireable impact on your blood glucose. In terms of glucose lowering effect, I personally haven't seen a significant impact, but there are those who take vinegar with water before their meals and before bed to optimise their metabolism.

Apple cider vinegar is your best betas others have said balsamic contains carbs.

Morning @Justfish and welcome to the forum.

This is a variation of the claim circulating for at least 20 years that vinegar, especially apple cider vinegar, taken before meals in a glass of water, helps diabetics control blood glucose levels..

I tried this years ago and it did not help me, though it must have boosted sales of vinegar. The lack of recent studies into apple cider vinegar make it difficult to recommend its use. Balsamic vinegar itself contains sugar, so it's hard to see how it could be of value.

In both cases, acetic acid is said to be the active ingredient.
1–2 tbspns of apple cider vinegar in a large glass of water is unlikely to be harmful. Balsamic is a veratile cooking ingredient in salad dressings, marinades and sauces. Its intense flavour means a little goes a long way.
