Hello everyone thoughts please. Was diagnosed October 2017 with a HBA1C of 100. Review in January HBA1C 38 then new tests Friday result 37. I don't do much other than take metformin twice a day I tried dropping down to one and readings were creeping up
Cholesterol

So this is dropping.
Have another question if red blood cells have a 12 week lifespan. This may sound so thick however There was 12 weeks and one day between my HBA1C reading did they not just text my new blood

Not all your red blood cells die off in around 12 weeks. They don't all die off at the same time. Every day, millions of them die off, but this is only a fraction of the total that are still alive. The dead ones are replaced immediately by new ones, so all the time you have a number of old ones, a number of new ones, and many more somewhere in middle age. It is a continuing cycle. Not everyone has standard red blood cells. Some people have them that live a lot longer than 12 weeks, whilst some people have ones that die off in a few weeks. It doesn't matter when you have an HbA1c test - it will measure your average glucose over the previous 2 to 3 months, weighted towards the latter end of that period.
