What are your carb counting skills like Claire, don't know if you've seen the following but it's an on-line carb counting course similar to what is taught on the DAFNE course:

Also, if you've not done any basal checks for a while then you should look to do them first to make sure your background insulin is set at the right dose. Good luck and hope all goes well.
Finding low carb snacks has helped me steady my levels a lot, I always feel hungry so it's good to be able to have something that won't affect you.
I have to be boring atm aswell considering my carb counting skills aren't the best, sticking to foods I know well so I know near enough the exact amount of insulin to have.
this person turned their bloods around in 2.5 days, but again I wouldn't go too low in carbs, even though I'm on a ketogenic diet
you may need a diet and control that works, that you can use throughout your pregnancy

Hi claire_786, what has really helped me get my bs's down is not just eating lchf but portion control,it seems like a little tweak but since iv'e been doing it my bloods have stayed in the low 5's high 4's,all the best :Ok so my ivf has been delayed cause of my hba1c which I'm gutted about... so I've been working hard to lower it down and it was 9.2 in November and 8.8 in February and 2 weeks ago 8.2 so I am doing some think right and trying soo hard to get it to 7% but now I understand why it should be low and concentrating on getting to that number and I'm having my diabetes appointment every month and any tips to get it lower quicker
