Hi aaaaaaaall.

I got my hba1c result today.

My first hba1c that is completely with an insulin pump.

it's 6.6%

I'm quite amazed.

 
Great result! Well done. What was your HbA1C pre pump?

i sometimes wonder whether it is the actual pump that achieves a decrease in HbA1C, or it is the extra effort about control, that pump user have to spend?

My pre-pump hba1c was 8.4% after 2 months with the pump it was 7.2%

I think it's a mixture of the pump allowing users to be exact with doses and the use of fine tuning your basal too as well as the extra effort you put in with the pump too.

I am very very pleased with that result. i expected it to be around 7.0%.
 
Great result and well worth the change to a pump!

For me it's worked brilliantly, helped me acheive what i tried so far for with MDI but failed terribly.

and this time i KNOW it's not affected by hypo's as i've only had 2 minor ones in over 8 weeks now!
 
Congratulations Ebony. I'd be chuffed with that too.
