@ShyLily do you have any idea what has gone wrong? Do you test?
Did she actually _say_ 91, lovely? That’s the new numbering system they use now.
It’s my own fault I’m
So stupid I’m just in denial don’t want to accept it. I used to test a lot but I stopped do it now and then. I know what to do I did whilst pregnant I did low carb diet and checked my blood sugars it just after I didn’t want to do it anymore it’s been a year now
My A1c was 7.2 last time which was about 4 months ago and then before that was 6.4 it’s my own fault don’t know what’s wrong with me I need to sort myself out it’s all in the mind I’m just being so stupid. I don’t want any complications I been doing expertise I’ve cut sugar out it’s just that I haven’t really reduce my carb intake
Mine was originally 110
But was down to 86 just after xmas
Stay positive you can probably get it down but can take a little time.
Did you change your diet?
No I actually been eating worse so wasn’t surprised just didn’t want to think about it. I’m just being spoilt like I keep saying to myself why me but there’s tons of other people suffering too I just need to snap out of it.
Ok, that’s actually a little higher than you thought then, I’m afraid. 91 under the new system is equivalent to 10.5% under the old system. This equates to an average blood sugar of 14.1mmol.Yh she did she didn’t want to give me any info over the phone I had to ask her again so when she said 91 I didn’t press for
More information
Get yourself back on track mate.
It’s never too late!

Being type 2, the best thing you can do for yourself is to reduce your carbs xxx
@ShyLily - what sort of things are you eating? Can we help?
Oh woah. Well I booking appointment next week will defo find out number then. But yeh when I have checked my blood sugars sometimes they have been over 14 mmol. How shall I reduce my carbs what just not eat nothing I think I should go cold turkey on them.
Ask for a print out of your test results then you can see in black and white what all your results were - not just HbA1c but also cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, liver and kidney functions, eGFR and so on. They are all important for diabetics. Don't rely on your doctor to explain them all to you. Have a copy for yourself, and anything you don't understand you can ask on here.
9.1 is really 9.1%
91 is 91mmol/mol
I just eat what I want a lot of carbs with every meal I know that’s my problem I don’t have a lot of veg moderate amount of protein. I been researching a lot on low carb such as keto ect I don’t eat anything like sugar with desserts is sweets it’s just carbs I have a lot of rice potato bread pasta
