GP refuses to believe (well that's the gist we got) that my husbands BS levels are all over the place. Because his test was 6.1% in December. His meter is calibrated and functioning correctly.
So how can his test be 'perfect' and yet we regularly see high levels between 8-13? Surely that would be reflected in the test result? I know his high carb eating habits spike them to these levels but shouldn't that still show in the result - that he's having highs because as it stands now, it shows he has excellent control. :?:
Make sure that he washes his hands before each test to see if that makes a difference. The hba1c result is pretty accurate, and if he had a number of lows to go with the high sugar levels that could explain the result. I have noticed that if I don't wash my hands before a test I can get pretty erratic sugar levels! The main thing though is that he has a very good hba1c level, so that's a very good positive.
