Hi ,

have a massive issue with blood tests and remember as a little kid they would do the hba1c test with a blood glucose type large machine? do they still do these or is it always blood tests now?

HbA1c done at the GP will involve blood taken from the arm but at the hospital will only be a finger prick. . . . Is that what you mean, jackvdbuk?

yeah so i can skip a blood test for a hba1c if i go to the hospital to get it done?

Presumably you don't attend a hospital diabetic clinic. If this is the case, you should ask to be referred to one. . . . You can't just nip into a hospital and ask them to do your HbA1c!
