HbA1c Update

Hey guys, not been about much recently, dealing with some things.

Anyways some good news, got my results this morning from my latest HbA1c:

Diagnosed 27.01.15 - HbA1c: 101mmol/mol
27.04.15 - HbA1c: 42mmol/mol
31.07.15 - HbA1c: 33mmol/mol

HbA1c has still dropped despite cutting metformin in half and upping my carbs a little (not that I advise anyone to do this)

Now I know you're all going to say well done, but the credit belongs to you all, amazing community! Thank you.

Very well done! I'm hoping my own results will show an improvement this time too. I'm a little jealous of yours. Keep it up.

Started off with keeping intake about 30 a day ish - now I tend to eat to my meter with foods I know are low in carb, not currently counting but I would guess I have doubled my carb intake ish. I wouldn't advise anyone do the same and would advocate counting for all newly diagnosed.

I have dropped a little over 4 stones since diagnosis.

It takes some time to fine tune and know your own tolerance. Your first focus should be getting your HbA1c down, then commence experimenting, always with an emphasis on low carb.
