Hi
@Ultramum ..
Your BP readings are excellent .. but you may also be interested in the following info ...
My BP was 149/101 at T2 diagnosis on Feb 7th but my home readings were much lower. Doc put me on a 24hr BP monitor which produced results ranging from 105/68 to 153/94 - including the "night-time dip" during sleep. With this 24hr test in the middle (Feb 28 - May 1), I have been monitoring my BP at home once a day (usually mid-afternoon) since Feb 8th. Results have ranged between 113/73 and 138/85 with an average of 124/78. I don't really know whether this good, bad or OK .. but what I have found out is that there is a mountain of research on this issue of blood pressure variability, which is summarised in this article:
Have we got it wrong about high blood pressure - (OK - it's the Daily Mail .. but I think it's still useful)
I'm still reading up on this and I will be asking the Doc about it at my next appointment on Friday
Hope this helps ..
