It's like banging your head against a brick wall. I live in London and the past week my sugar levels have been very up and down but mainly high due to the heat.. i know we shouldn't complain about good weather, but i'm looking forward to it cooling down!! Moan over.

I had a problem just over a week ago, but when I started a new insulin pen my glucose levels went back to normal fairly quickly - so maybe I'd let my insulin get a bit too warm and it had lost some of its potency - can't be sure.
Actually that's a good point! I hadn't thought of that.. not had this problem before i have only been type1 for one year.. so i'm still learning all this! i will take a new pen out of the fridge and see if that makes a difference. Thank you!
I have type 1 diabetes and I live near brighton, the heats been unbearable. I used to love the Sun an heat bt since having this I can't cope with the heat and my blood sugars are so up and down. .. it's rubbish
Yeah, that's true.. they were my thoughts too originally..i suppose dehydration can also cause a rise in sugar levels.. thanks for the advice martin! It all helps!
Dehydration can give you a false high as your blood is more concentrated. However as soon as you rehydrate you can plunge. So watch out for that. It feels like it's breaking now thankfully.
