Hello any chats from type 1s?

Loads of T1s here all willing to share experiences so you’re definitely not alone . I’m T1 44 years and counting numerous complications due to being young and invincible , but I’m never down always have a positive attitude , it’s served me well.

Me 26 years.Yes I do get down. But there is nothing you can do.Apart from getting on with it the best you can.And only we can do that.

Type 1 since I was 21. Now 69 and managed to live through all of the complications that have come along the way. A gamechanger in my retirement though when 3 weeks ago I was changed onto closed loop. What a gamechanger it is. It is like being a teenager again. Instead of worrying about hypos every time I do a little exercise (like cutting the grass) I now just have to tell the PDM I am going to cut the grass for 1 hour and no more worries. My brother was on the same course as me (he became T1 two years after me) and he is still working but due to retire next year and he is also in a much better place now. There were only about 7 people on our course but I hope that these new omnipod 5's and new readers are being rolled out all over the country because the difference it will make to all of the youngsters and newly diagnosedd will be amazing.

Hello yes I have heard of omnipods.I have a libre sensor and still do daily mdi's.
I might look into these. They sound good.
