Diagnosed Type 2 Nov 2015 H2 thingy was 122 then. Now 55. Lost 9/10 lbs in weight, surprsed not more on vicious low Sugar, Low carb diet. Anybody else not interested in eating anything really? People say 'give yourself a treat' but have no desire to . Eating is really boring.

My diet is very boring and beginning to crave sugary things. Hopefully with the summer coming things will improve

Hi @essdee Well done on your reduction in blood sugar level. That's a huge drop and more important than the weight loss, but that's good too. I lost interest in eating for the first 3-4 months after diagnosis, and just ate the minimum I needed to keep going, often just a sandwich in the evening. I'm getting more interested in food again now to the extent of even making a cake last week. Something I've never done before.

@essdee - Hello and good you have joined in on this forum. It is HBA1C and that is a brilliant drop, your diabetic team must be very pleased with that result. You never said if you test your blood sugars? Do you have a blood glucose meter? I was told by the Hospital Dietician to stick to eating sensibly during the week and look upon the weekend as 'treat time's = yes I can have a slice of cake and yes I can have a bar of Chocolate. I need the rewards to myself otherwise I would just throw the towel in! (So to speak) and I did that 6 years ago and ended up putting on 4 stone in weight. And I now just have a stubborn 10lbs to loose to get to my goal of 12 stone.
