Pleased to be here. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 1995 and I have really been searching for people who I can relate to and just share things about life. I guess sometimes I feel alone. I have been doing pretty good since I was first diagnosed but as I get older I realize things can change, just recently have been having a few minor issues. So hopefully we can talk about our experiences and I can learn a thing or two and make some friends along the way.
Lack of choice of insulin for newly diagnosed patients.
Dog owners who let their dogs poop in the street-a hazard for most, but worse if you're visually impaired!

Hi Gem,
Welcome to the forum. You'll be in good company here, plenty of us type-1s to chat to. I was diagnosed in '89 but until I came to this forum I only knew one other person with the condition. It can get tiresome having to explain pricking your finger, hypos etc; to people who don't have a clue about diabetes . Hopefully now you wont feel so alone.
